Manufactured from epoxy-coated ASTM A53/API-5 carbon steel, it features an internally machined and beveled groove design that creates a robust mechanical joint with full HDPE pipe ID coverage for complete corrosion protection. This design ensures a piggable seal and pipe restraint capable of withstanding thermal pipeline stresses.
The fitting meets or exceeds ASTM D2513 Category 3 mechanical joint standards (not suitable for natural gas) and complies with AWWA C116-01 & C213-01. It is tested to ASTM D3261, D1598, D1599, ANSI/AWWA C901/C906, NSF/ANSI/CAN-61, and NSF/ANSI-372 standards, compatible with PE pipes made from PE3408, PE4710, and PE100 resins per ASTM D3350.
