600 lb Water Blocking Tracer Wire: Product Overview
Trace-Safe Trench (TST600 series) is a reinforced, water-blocking detectable wire for locating buried plastic gas, water and sewer pipe and all-dielectric fiber optic cable. A 19 AWG tin-coated copper conductor sits inside two HDPE jackets with a woven polyester and water-blocking yarn core, giving 610 lb nominal break strength in a lightweight, flexible wire that lays easily in the trench. The smaller gauge conductor gives precise low-frequency locates, and the reduced voltage-carrying capacity makes it a safer choice in lightning-prone areas.
