Male Adapter Fittings (Tapered Threads) (ID) - ABOVE GROUND
Our ID Male Adapter Fittings with tapered threads (NPT) are the perfect solution for joining and terminating connections in above-ground telecom installations. Designed specifically for use with ID (Inside Diameter) tubular conduit, these male adapters provide a secure, reliable connection when joining to female threads of rigid steel, Myers-type hubs, or precast iron boxes with female thread entrances. These fittings are ideal for Canadian telecom applications, where ID conduit is commonly used for its compact size and compatibility with standard pipe clamps.
The ID conduit features a smaller Outside Diameter (OD) than traditional IPS conduit, allowing for streamlined installations. While these fittings are compatible with standard pipe clamps, it's important to carefully choose the correct size clamp for a proper fit, ensuring secure and efficient installation. Available in sizes 2" to 6", our ID male adapters come with the option of straight socket or interference joint connections. To order the straight socket connection, simply add “-S” to the part number, or choose the interference joint connection by adding “-I.”
