Integrity Fusion Products' Male NPT (MIPT) Transition Fittings offer a robust, high-performance solution for connecting HDPE piping to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 male threaded carbon steel systems. Engineered for heavy-duty performance, each fitting features a Schedule 40 ASTM A106/A53 carbon steel body with both internal and external epoxy coating for superior corrosion resistance.

Designed to operate at a maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) of 255 PSI (at 73.4°F), these SDR 9 fittings incorporate a precision-machined and beveled internal groove that ensures a secure mechanical joint. The result is a piggable, fully restrained transition that matches the thermal stress loads typically encountered in demanding pipeline applications.

These fittings meet or exceed ASTM D2513 Category 3 mechanical joint standards (note: not for natural gas use) and are compatible with PE3408, PE4710, and PE100 resins. Fusion compatibility spans across all manufacturers’ HDPE pipe, molded, or fabricated fittings made to ASTM D3350 standards.

Installation Notes:
Always use pipe joint sealant or Teflon tape. Hand tighten, then secure with two strap wrenches—never use pipe wrenches. Over-tightening can damage the fitting or create leak paths. Pressure test prior to backfilling and compact soil carefully around the transition to prevent movement or damage.
