Male NPT Transition Fitting | IPS | SDR 11 | 200 PSI
Integrity Fusion’s Heavy-Duty Male NPT Transition Fitting is engineered for high-performance steel-to-HDPE connections in demanding industrial and municipal applications. Manufactured with Schedule 40 carbon steel (ASTM A106/A5) and coated internally and externally with a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, this transition fitting delivers a rugged, long-lasting mechanical joint that meets ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards.
Designed for use with IPS SDR 11 HDPE pipe, this fitting supports a Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) of 200 PSI at 73.4°F. Its internally machined and beveled groove design ensures a piggable seal and maintains total HDPE coverage through the transition collar for complete corrosion protection. The pipe restraint capability matches expected thermal stresses, ensuring secure, leak-resistant performance in critical installations.
⚠️ Not for natural gas use.
Key Features:
- High-Pressure Rating: Rated for 200 PSI (MAOP at 73.4°F) in SDR 11 systems
- Heavy-Duty Design: Machined steel body with epoxy coating inside and out for corrosion resistance
- Full HDPE Coverage: Unobstructed HDPE passage through collar ensures corrosion protection and piggability
- Reliable Joint Integrity: Internally beveled grooves create a secure mechanical seal under pressure and stress
- Standards Compliant: Meets or exceeds ASTM D2513 Cat 3, D3261, D3035, F714, AWWA C901/C906, NSF/ANSI 61 & 372
- Broad Compatibility: Fusion-compatible with PE3408, PE4710, and PE100 HDPE resins
- Versatile Applications: Ideal for water, wastewater, oil & gas, mining, industrial, and telecom conduit installations
Recommended Applications:
- Municipal Water Systems
- Industrial Process Piping
- Saltwater Disposal & Dredging
- Irrigation & Geothermal Installations
- Mining & Landfill Piping
- Oil and Gas Production
- Telecom and Utility Conduit
Installation Notes:
Always apply pipe joint sealant or Teflon tape to threads before installation. Hand-tighten first, then finish using two strap wrenches only—never use pipe wrenches, as they may deform the sleeve and compromise sealing integrity. Pressure test before backfilling, and ensure careful compaction around the fitting to prevent damage from ground shifting.
