12-Strand UHMWPE Slick Pulling Rope — Product Overview
A 12-strand pulling rope made from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber. It pulls stronger, stretches less and runs slicker than conventional pulling rope, and every length ships with factory-spliced pulling eyes on both ends so it is ready to hook up out of the box. Available in four diameters (1/8", 1/4", 9/16" and 3/4") and lengths from 300' to 3000'. A direct alternative to Southwire QWIKrope®.
Key Benefits
- High Strength: Fiber is about 2.5x stronger than conventional pulling rope. Tensile strength runs from 1,125 lb on the .125" up to 83,000 lb on the .75".
- Low Stretch: Only 3.5% elongation at break, so the pull stays controlled and predictable.
- Slick Surface: About a 25% lower coefficient of friction than conventional rope, which means lower pulling tension through long runs and bends.
- Light and Wet-Ready: Specific gravity of 0.96, so it floats, and it does not soak up water.
- Ready to Pull: Factory-spliced pulling eyes on each end. Easy to re-splice in the field.
