The SP-55 Remote Hydraulic Cutting Head from Huskie Tools is designed for high-capacity cutting of large-diameter cables and conductors in utility, telecom, and industrial applications. Built to operate with any 10,000 psi hydraulic system, the SP-55 delivers 13 tons of cutting force and accommodates conductors up to 2 inches in diameter.
This rugged tool features a guillotine-style blade for smooth, jam-free performance and a hinged head for fast material insertion. With a generous 2” jaw opening and wide cutting range, it easily handles Cu/Al cables, ACSR, wire rope, and steel bolts. A black oxide coating protects the cutting head from corrosion, while an internal spring-loaded retraction mechanism enhances ease and safety.
The SP-55 is a go-to tool for crews needing reliable cutting performance on large cables in the field. Each tool is equipped with a 3/8” screw-type male hydraulic coupler for quick connection to your pump system.
