Box Adapters — PVC fitting that brings Schedule 40 or 80 conduit into an enclosure through a knockout, cemented rather than threaded.

A box adapter passes through the enclosure knockout from inside and is cemented into a standard coupling on the outside; the conduit then cements into the coupling. Where a terminal adapter gives a threaded entry, the box adapter gives a solvent-welded one, which is the usual choice on nonmetallic boxes and where no locknut is wanted.
