Split Duct | Sch 40 and 80 Split PVC Conduit | 10 ft Sticks
Split Duct — 10-foot sticks of two-piece split PVC conduit with a tongue-and-groove joint, for repairing damaged conduit around installed cable without cutting or splicing the conductors.
Prime Split Duct is a full 10-foot length of PVC conduit split lengthwise into two halves (the photo shows short sections for illustration). The halves snap together over the cable with an interlocking tongue-and-groove joint, and the joints are taped and strapped to make a rigid run. Sections can be staggered and butted together for any length of repair. Available in Schedule 40, Schedule 80 and 4" Type C telephone duct, 2" through 6".

Before You Order
These are Prime's own application notes and they matter on a utility job:
- Split duct butts up to the existing conduit; it does not slide over it. The split couplers go over the outside of the joint between split duct and conduit.
- Not a listed product. There is no ETL or UL standard for split duct. It is a utility and telecom repair product; where the NEC governs, split duct is not accepted as a permanent repair without the inspector's approval, so confirm with the authority having jurisdiction before you order.
- Outdoor and underground use. Not intended for indoor use or to penetrate firewalls. Prime does not recommend concrete encasement over split duct.
- Made from UL 651 Schedule 40 conduit, rated for 90°C conductors and a 50°C ambient.
- Order to the conduit size: 2" split duct and 2" split couplers for a 2" conduit repair.
