Break-Away Pulling Swivels for Directional Drilling | HDD Swivels with Replaceable Break Pins
Condux Break-Away D.Drill® Swivels help prevent overstressing cable or conduit during directional drilling pullback operations. Each assembly combines the swivel and break link into one component, eliminating additional weak-link components and reducing the distance between the reamer and pulling eye.
Six swivel sizes are available for different pulling requirements. Rated break loads range from 1,200 lb (5,338 N) to 40,000 lb (177,928 N). Each swivel is designed to separate within +8% / −2% of its rated break load.

Each swivel uses a replaceable break pin matched to its swivel size and rated break load. Use the ordering table below to identify the correct replacement pin and color code.

Applications and Safety
These swivels are designed for directional drilling. They may also be used in applications where the swivel, product, and pulling medium are segregated from personnel and any break would remain contained within a pipe or borehole.

- Use Figure 1 dimensions when ordering 1-1/4″ and 1-5/8″ swivels.
