The SP-40 Remote Hydraulic Cutting Head from Huskie Tools is engineered for high-performance cutting of copper, aluminum, ACSR, wire rope, and ground rods up to 1.5” in diameter. Built for compatibility with any 10,000 psi hydraulic system, this cutting head delivers 6.28 tons of output force with a lightweight and portable 8.5 lb design—ideal for field use.
Featuring a rugged guillotine-style blade, the SP-40 provides smooth, jam-resistant cuts. The hinged head design allows for quick material insertion, and an internal spring-loaded retraction mechanism automatically returns the blade once pressure is released. A durable black oxide coating offers excellent corrosion resistance for long-term use in tough environments.
This model comes standard with a 3/8” male screw-type coupler, while snap coupler and CU/AL-only variants are also available. Whether you're working overhead or at ground level, the SP-40 offers reliable performance across a wide range of jobsite conditions.
