Split Sleeve Couplings — Schedule 40 PVC repair couplings split lengthwise, for joining split duct and repairing conduit around installed cable.
A split sleeve coupling is a standard PVC coupling with the wall split along its length so it can open around an installed cable and close over a joint. The sleeve is open-ended and slides to wherever the joint sits. It is the coupling Prime specifies for joining Split Duct to existing conduit, and it works the same way on a repair where a damaged section has been cut out. Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 conduit share the same outside diameter, so one coupling fits both.
One-Side or Two-Side Split
- One-side split (CPSPLT1S): a single cut along the sleeve. The sleeve springs open enough to pass over a cable and closes back to round. The standard choice.
- Two-side split (CPSPLT2S): cut into two halves. Easier to fit around a large or stiff cable bundle, or where there is no room to spring a one-piece sleeve open.

Before You Order
- Split duct butts up to the existing conduit; the split coupling goes over the outside of the joint. Order the coupling to the conduit trade size.
- Not a listed product. Like split duct, split sleeve couplings carry no ETL or UL listing. Where the NEC governs, confirm acceptance with the authority having jurisdiction before you order.
